This is my contents page for my college magazine. Firstly the background I have chosen is a particularly eye catching image as it is a very busy image. Relating to the questionnaire that I used for my planning they said that they would like something to attract them to the magazine. I have decided that this would be one of my ways in order to attract the target audience to my magazine.
The font colour that I have used is one of my three colours that the magazine contains which is red. Incorporated in the page headers I have tried to fit in images to make it look more exciting to read.
To make the cinema page header more interesting I have decided to feature it on a cinema screen to make it look like you are in the cinema and the header is on the cinema screen. To make this image particularly better I could of used more image adjustment features to distort the picture in order to make it look more exciting.
For my facebook header I have used the logo of facebook in order to attract the reader and have it as a particular eye catching feature. To make the magazine look more profesional and look like a magazine that would be published for people to read, the importance in the inclusion of the features such as the facebook logo is attraction.
There are some features in my magazine contents page that i feel i could improve on. Firstly i feel that the contents page title could be improved by using a more attractive style of writing or in some way try to make it stand out with a 3D style writing or i could of added different types of shadowing to the image.
Secondly, the font that i have used for the page titles is very dull. In order to improve this i would change the font to a more groovy style of writing that would bring the page to life and this would also improve the whole look of the page. The 3 colours that i have used is another part that i would improve as i would use more attractive colours that would grab the readers attention. These colours would have to be bright such as yellow and green for example.
One part of the contents page that i particularly like is the news feature on the page. This particularly interests me as it is an eye catcher which is why i have included it. The image shows what you do with news as you would sit and read it which is why it has a attraction to it.
The background i have chosen i found the hardest as i had all my images and i needed something that would fit in with the image. I was very unsure with the image that i had chosen and how it would fit in with the other images but when the whole contents page was finished i realised that the colours in the image fit in with the colurs on the page. The mix of gold and blue in the image are a part of the colours that are used in the main images, mixing them together in the background image has made the background look more proffesional.
