This is my contents page for my music magazine. From my research into magazines contents pages I have created my contents page from all aspects of them. I feel this way I can get a good balance of ideas that I am able to show in my final product.

The main ideas for my contents page have come from NME as they would be one of the magazines that would be aiming at a similar target audience to me. One of the main ideas that I really like is the band list that I have included on the left hand side as this allows the reader to see who is in the magazine and locate where they are in the magazine which I feel is a good addition to any contents page. I have kept the contents page to the house style of the magazine to keep the professional look of the magazine. I have done this by having my main headings in a white font with a black background which is the same as parts of my front cover. I have also kept to certain conventions by including the issue number and the date it has been published, I have mainly tried to keep to these conventions to keep the originality of the magazine.

The font style that I have used is the same as the style that I have used throughout. I have used different font sizes to highlight the artists and used a smaller font to give a sub heading as this will attract the reader to the article. I have also included a competition which the readers can enter which shows that my magazine will be mainstream as the competition is aimed at a wide audience. The use of a sponsor in the bottom right corner also shows that my magazine has attracted a large target audience as this is a main sponsor which will be viewed by millions.

Overall I feel that my contents page has been created to a professional standard as I have kept to my house style that I have proposed throughout the magazine. I feel the inclusion of the band list has made my contents page which originally I did not think to use in my planning until after I did some research on contents pages.
